Home SNAP Repository Records Management Contact Information

SNAP (Soros Network Archival Portal) is a portal comprising a Digital Repository as well as Records Management Resources considered relevant to the ongoing work of the Soros Foundations Network. The SNAP Repository is a centralized virtual space providing permanent access to unique digital resources produced by the organizations and programs of the Soros Foundations Network. Access is hierarchical with files sorted by organization, program and collection. Access is permanent in the sense that OSA ensures the long-term preservation of the files and maintenance of the infrastructure. Records containing confidential information are not available to the public. SNAP is administered by the Open Society Archives, Budapest: snap@archivum.ws

The Open Society Archives (OSA) at Central European University is an archive and research institute for the study of contemporary human rights issues as well as Communism and the Cold War. It supports and facilitates the philanthropic goals of the Open Society Institute & Soros Foundations Network, especially by providing information, records management and archival services for all its entities. As the official archives of the Soros Foundations Network, it is responsible for preserving non-current records of the foundations which have been identified as having historical value. Among these, the most notable records are those of the Open Society Institutes in New York and in Budapest and Central European University, Budapest.
